Nanofacility Cleanroom
The Nanofacility Cleanroom provides the infrastructure required for the fabrication of nanostructures and nanodevices. It provides tools to researchers and develops, optimises and maintains fabrication methods. The facilities support HR e-beam and optical lithography, mask making for optical lithography, deposition and dry etching, wet processing, thermal processing and high resolution inspection techniques.
DENLAB
DENLab is a research facility established at the faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science to study the feasibility of decentralised sustainable energy generation.
Wind Tunnel
The Low-Speed Low-Turbulence Wind Tunnel at TU Delft is used to measure the two-dimensional aerodynamic characteristics of wind turbine dedicated airfoils.
Reactor Institute Delft (RID)
The Reactor Institute Delft (RID) operates radiation-related facilities. Students have access to tools and methods including:
- SESANS (Spin-echo small-angle neutron scattering), a new technique for using small-angle neutron scattering to study the structure of systems on length scales between 10 nm and 15 um
- PANDA (Poly Axis Neutron Depolarisation Analyser) a tool to conduct 3D neutron depolarisation measurements on ferromagnetic materials
- Moessbauer laboratories, for studying the electronic environment of a selected nuclides
- Positron facilities, allowing the study of impulse divisions of electrons related to defects in materials.
